BLASTING NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that Tri-Star Mining, Inc. 2278 Michael Road, Barton, Maryland, will be conducting operations on Mining Permit No. SM-91-419; MD Grid Coordinates N 634,200; E 224,700 in Election Districts No. 8 & 4 of Allegany and Garrett Counties, Maryland and Permit No. SM - 00-436, in Election District No. 8 of Allegany, 1.5 miles Northeast of Westernport, Maryland in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws. Such activities will commence and continue in accordance with the following schedule of dates and approximate times, as approved by the MD Bureau of Mines:

November 1, 2025 through November 1, 2026,
8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

No blasting will be conducted on Sunday’s, only Monday through Saturday.
At least 10 minutes proper to each blasting activity, all accessed to the area will be controlled to prevent unauthorized entry, and warning signal will be audibly indicated by three 5-second blasts with an air horn at 2-second intervals. After the blast, the all-clear signal shall be indicated by one-20 second blast with an air horn. The signals are in accordance with applicable state and federal laws
Any owner of dwelling of other structure within one-half mile of the permit area may request to have a structural blasting survey conducted by contacting the MD Bureau of Mines at (301) 689-1440.
Also, as approved by the regulatory authority, blasting activities will not be conducted at times other than those announced without prior notification, or in the event of an emergency situation where rain, lighting, or other atmospheric conditions, operator or public safety considerations dictate an unscheduled detonation.
